Minnesota Insurance

Minnesota is known as the North Star State. It is one of the Great Lakes states, bordered on the east by Lake Superior with the Red River as a large part of its western border, and the Mississippi River a part of the south-eastern border. Minnesota joined the Union in 1858, to become the 32nd state. The states economy, once dominated by its natural resources, developed a diversified economy, by the 1990s.

Today, Minnesota’s economy is dominated by service industries such as Minnesota auto insurance, Minnesota life insurance, Minnesota health insurance, and Minnesota Home Insurance, in addition to farming and manufacturing. Minnesota has extensive iron ore deposits, the development of which is an important part of the economy. The farming industry is small and dominated by milk production. Among the major manufactured goods are industrial machinery and metal products, and food processing including canning, and sugar refining.  These various industries require workers and farm owners to supply adequate Minnesota health insurance and Minnesota life insurance for their employees and themselves.

Minnesota has an area of 86,943 square miles with a shoreline on Lake Superior of about 185 miles. The geography of Minnesota includes four regions -- the Superior Upland, the Western Great Lakes Lowland, the Dissected Till Plains, and the Driftless Region. The Superior Upland region to the northeast is hard and rocky and the most rugged in Minnesota. The Western Great Lakes Lowland has level plains. Minnesota has two areas of Dissected Till Plains around the southern boundary, consisting of rolling hills, with the Driftless Region in the south-eastern corner. Major rivers include the Mississippi, the Minnesota, the Crow Wing, and the St Croix, and there are over 20,000 lakes, with the largest in-state lake being upper and lower Red Lake. The climate is humid continental, with steep temperature variations. Winters are uniformly cold with warm summers in the south and cooler summers in the north.  Snowfall is also very common in the state and reinforces the need for Minnesota auto insurance and Minnesota home insurance.

Due to the variety of weather conditions and employment opportunities in the state, there is a continuous need for adequate Minnesota insurance coverage in the state in tall the many forms of insurance coverage the state has to offer.
