Oregon Insurance

Oregon was home to many Native American tribes like the Bannock, Chinook, Klamath and Nez Perce. It is situated in the Pacific Northwest region and has the Pacific Ocean as its western border. It is the Oregon coast range and the cascade mountain range, which forms the Willamette valley. This valley is the most densely populated region of the state of Oregon. It is also here that most of its agricultural activity takes place. The population of the state is somewhere around 3.7 million.

Of all the states in the United States, Oregon is popular for its diverse landscapes. There are tall, dense, and thick forests, an equally beautiful and scenic coastline on the Pacific Ocean, and glaciated cascade volcanoes. Apart from this, there are semiarid scrublands, the prairies and the deserts as well as the mountain ranges forming the valley. This physical and geographical presence of the state makes it suitable for all types of professions.

The Oregon country was a point of constant dispute between the United States and the United Kingdom. This was amicably settled in 1846 when the Oregon treaty was agreed upon. Industrialization began after the construction of the Bonneville dam on the Columbia River in 1943. The production of lumber, food and power helped to develop the west, although certain fluctuations in the building industry have hurt their economy.

The state of Oregon is highly mountainous and there is constant fear of volcanic activity. The Juan de Fuca Plate is a tectonic plate and still poses a threat of volcanic activity and earthquakes. Similarly, the Columbia River also floods very often and poses a threat. The climate is largely affected by the Pacific Ocean as they share the coastline. Although it is generally mild, there are periods where the state experiences extreme temperatures that affect the different parts of the state. The eastern deserts of the state receive small amounts of rainfall while at the same time the western coastline receives heavy showers.  Due to the differences in climate throughout the state, it is important that residents maintain their Oregon auto insurance and Oregon home insurance policies.

The difference in climate throughout the states and the presence of volcanoes and possibility of floods makes it necessary to have ample insurance cover for yourself and your belongings. For this, the state of Oregon offers its residents Oregon auto insurance, Oregon life insurance, Oregon health insurance, and Oregon Home Insurance at a minimal cost.
