ALABAMA INSURANCE

Alabama has long been known as the “Heart of Dixie.”  The citizens of Alabama have always been proud of their heritage and much of this pride is seen in their day to day activities.  The state was originally the 22nd state to be admitted to the union, but withdrew from the Union prior to the Civil War, during which it became a part of the Confederate States of America.  Following the war, Alabama was readmitted in 1868.  The state capital is Montgomery, while the largest city is Birmingham.  Today, the state has numerous industries and is involved heavily in aerospace, agriculture, education and technology.  Some of the main industries in the state include steel production and fabrication as well as automobile manufacturing and mineral extraction.
