Connecticut INSURANCE
Connecticut is a US state situated in the New England region of the northeastern area of the United States of America. Although the original inhabitants of the state were Dutch, by 1936 the state was colonized by the British. It is one of the thirteen colonies that revolted and rebelled against the British colonial rule in the American Revolution. The natives of Connecticut are also known as 'nutmeggers' or more commonly as the ‘Yankees’. It ranks as the fourth most densely populated US state.
Hartford is the capital of the state with Norwalk, New London, New Haven, and New Britain being one of the major cities of the state. The state ranked the first in terms of per capital income in 2005. While New Canaan is known have the highest per capita income, Hartford, on the other hand is amongst one of the lowest per capita income states in America, signifying the vast disparity in incomes through out the state. Agricultural outputs include livestock, dairy products, and tobacco. Industrial outputs include helicopters, aircraft parts, nuclear submarines, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and other scientific tools and instruments. In the south, Connecticut is bordered by Long Island Sound, in the west, by New York state, in the north by Massachusetts and Rhode Island in the east.
