Florida insurance

Florida is situated in the southeastern region of United States. Most of it is a large peninsula lying mainly between the Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Straits of Florida. In the north, lies the state of Georgia and Alabama while on the west, it is bordered by Alabama. It is in close proximity to the Caribbean group of islands like the Bahamas and Cuba. The state economy is heavily dependent on the tourism sector, followed by agriculture, phosphate mining, and aerospace industry. The aerospace sector has become very active since the establishment of the NASA Merritt Island launch site in Cape Canaveral.

Most of the state experiences a humid and subtropical climate with the exception of south Florida, when the climate is generally tropical in nature. The climate of Florida is heavily influenced by its closeness to the Atlantic Ocean. Occasional, cold fronts bring in strong air currents from the ocean and cool the state during the winter season. In such a case, winds like these can knock out electricity and cause damage to mobile homes.
